GY-530 VL53L0X Time-of-Flight Ranging Sensor

The GY-530 VL53L0X is a high-precision Time-of-Flight (ToF) laser ranging sensor that uses STMicroelectronics’ VL53L0X chip to measure absolute distance up to 2 meters with millimeter resolution. Unlike traditional IR sensors, it measures how long light takes to reflect off a target, providing accurate and consistent distance measurements, regardless of color or reflectivity. It communicates over I2C, making it ideal for robotics, obstacle detection, gesture sensing, and IoT projects.
