The USR-DR162 2.4/5.8GHz Dual Band RS232 to Wi-Fi Converter is an industrial-grade serial device server designed to connect RS232 devices to wireless Wi-Fi networks. With dual-band 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz Wi-Fi support, it enables stable, high-speed wireless communication for industrial automation, smart factories, SCADA systems, PLC communication, remote monitoring, and IoT applications. Its compact DIN rail mount design, wide voltage input range, and industrial protection features make it suitable for harsh industrial environments.
The USR-DR162 supports transparent serial-to-Wi-Fi data transmission and allows legacy RS232 devices to communicate over TCP/IP networks without changing existing hardware. It supports multiple networking protocols including TCP, UDP, HTTP, MQTT, and Modbus RTU to Modbus TCP conversion, making integration with cloud platforms, industrial gateways, and monitoring systems easy and reliable. The device supports AP, STA, and AP+STA Wi-Fi modes, allowing flexible deployment in industrial networks.
