MCP2551 High-speed CAN Protocol Controller Bus Interface Module
The MCP2551 High-speed CAN Protocol Controller Bus Interface Module is a high speed CAN Transceiver, with fault-tolerant capabilities. It acts as an interfacing device between CAN protocol and the physical bus. The device, MCP2551 provides differential transmit and receive capabilities and is compliant with the ISO-11898, including the 24V requirements. Data transfer rate of up to 1Mb/s is achievable with this module.
It also provides high voltage spikes between CAN controller and CAN bus joined the buffer, these high-pressure spikes may be generated by an external device.
